Sensory Garden
I answered a call out for help with designing a sensory garden for a local charitable trust caring for people who are disabled and terminally ill. The existing garden is not accessible by their residents and they desperately need an outdoor space that everyone can enjoy. Importantly, the new garden design is wheelchair accessible via a ramp and has a wide pathway. The journey through the garden is also easy to navigate taking you through raised vegetable beds; a social area with water feature; a mini orchard where the grass will be left long during the summer for wildlife; arches for climbing plants; and finally leading to a summer house. It is hoped that funding will be raised so that the garden can be built in phases.
